As we were deciding on which need to focus on for our project, we communicated and demonstrated understandings towards each other’s thoughts. And after discussion, we went along with the majority consensus without conflictual understandings. I learnt how to exercise flexibility when it comes to setting the project timeline, such as meetings. When it comes to disagreements between us, I demonstrated empathy towards each other and try my best to accommodate to each other’s desires. This is an essential learning point for me, as part of a group. I have made progression for myself in terms of working in a group as a collaborator and communicator.

 

This communication of problems between my group members was rocky at times, but I have learnt how important it is to offer help and assist when needed. I have also learnt the importance of structuring a timeline and keeping to it to heighten productivity while not overlooking the welfare of the group. This process has also developed my interpersonal skills, as I understand each group member’s personality to reduce tension and ensure productivity. It was hard to relate to some of their problems at first, but as time goes by, our differences slowly rub off each other and the project moved along smoothly.
