Through the whole process of this project, I realised the importance of collaboration and communication as a group. This is not a typical group project where we can easily split the roles and work on them individually then present as so. This project requires a whole lot of communication between members and the collaboration of ideas. We constantly need to communicate with one another about the progress of the project such as the parts that have been done and areas that we need to look further into. With many members in one group it is not easy to settle on one solution however, we as a group were able to settle on a solution and work with it together. No one found the solution difficult to work with nor opposed to the solution proposed, this made it easy to collaborate as one group. The members in the group were all able to get along well with one another and we could adapt well with each other’s work style making it a breeze to get our project done on time and efficiently.

 

As we were brainstorming and thinking of the possible recommendations to address the needs of the center, I have learnt the importance of collaboration of ideas. At times we can just simply select an idea from an individual and work on that proposition, however, for this project just simply selecting an idea from an individual did not seem like it could fulfil the needs of the center. After everyone pitched in their ideas and started building on everyone’s ideas we were able to come up with our final recommendation which consisted of everyone’s ideas and perspectives. With the proposed recommendation consisting of everyone’s ideas, we were all happy and delighted to work with this recommendation without much trouble. Therefore, I have learnt that it is beneficial to have group collaboration as everyone could help one another and the outcome is more fruitful.
