The group dynamics, in the beginning, was pretty odd, as we have never worked together and essentially know nothing about each other’s working styles. Despite that, none of the members were shy about letting their thoughts be known, and mutual respect was present amongst all of us. Also, every suggestion made by the members were essentially incorporated into our action plan and recommendations. I thought this was one of our group’s strongest traits when it comes to collaborating, it was comforting working with members who appreciate and value your thoughts. We also effectively split the workload and the designing ideas for the website. There were disagreements regarding trivial matters, like the font or the position of certain pictures. Eventually, it was all resolved peacefully as we compromised with one another

 

I think stepping out of my comfort zone for the first time in a very long time was refreshing, it helped with my personal development in terms of accommodating to different working styles and handling ideological conflicts. It made me reflect on how I portray myself as a team player and to let loose when I have to. It was not an easy process but pulling through made me realize I am more than capable to work with people of different working styles. The project has also nurtured my immerse understanding I have for the people around me, and not jump to conclusions without knowing the full context. It gave me a boost in my confidence in terms of communication and having a positive attitude toward others in all situations. Overall, this group has enabled to go beyond my limits whereby I am concerned about everyone’s quality of work rather than just my own, this enabled the whole project to run and proceed more smoothly.
